Presented with the
prestigious "Community
of the Year" award in
2005, Verandah begins
with understanding a
long-forgotten
methodology in course
design. It’s heyday
dates back to the early
1920’s during a time of
prosperity in America.
Courses were created in
a way that complimented
the landscape: tree
lines were preserved,
waterways went
untouched. And with this
devotion to the natural
surroundings came some
of America’s most famous
courses including Winged
Foot, Oakmont, and
Pinehurst. With the Old
Orange Course at
Verandah, we’ve
recaptured this “Golden
Era” of golf.
Verandah boasts two
superb courses: One
designed by Bob Cupp and
a second championship
course designed by Jack
Nichlaus and Jack
Nicklaus II.
